KITSU1. In short
The website only stores in your browser what is strictly necessary for the service you request: logging you in, keeping your game and settings, and applying a referral link you followed. These items are exempt from consent (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and CNIL guidelines): this is why the website shows no cookie banner.
If we ever added a non-essential audience measurement, advertising or social network tool, we would ask for your consent first.
3. Browser local storage
The website uses your browser’s local storage (“localStorage” and “sessionStorage”), which stays on your device and is not automatically sent to our servers:

4. Installable app and notifications
The website installs a small background program (“service worker”) that makes it installable as an app and displays notifications. It keeps no copy of the website or of your data. Notifications are only enabled if you ask for them and allow them in your browser.
5. Third-party content
None of these services sets a cookie on kitsu.games, but your browser contacts them directly, which sends them your IP address:
- Google Fonts typefaces;
- card images hosted by AniList and Fandom, avatars hosted by Discord;
- Cloudflare Turnstile, only if the “I am not a robot” check is displayed;
- voice chat connection servers (Google).
Discord’s login pages and Stripe’s payment pages are on their own websites, which use their own cookies under their own policies. See the privacy policy.
6. Erasing this data
You can erase the cookies and local storage of kitsu.games at any time in your browser settings. You will then be logged out and your display settings will return to their defaults; your game, saved on our servers, is not lost. Logging out also erases your session.
